Russ is co-owner of "The Dragon's Eye Haunted Barn" and
hus band
to The Dragon Lady (above). He is usually found
in the ticket booth but sometimes ventures outside to help with
maintenance when things start to fall down. He is also called upon
when our guests get a wee bit out of hand.
Russ is a third degree black belt, at one time owned three taekwondo
schools, still holds the record for breaking the most boards with his
bare hands in 8 hours, was voted taekwondo instructor of the year, and
was rated third in the WORLD in open free sparring competition back in
the 80's. Although he doesn't
practice the art anymore, Russ is a scary looking fellow ...... even
without a mask!! Needless to say -- we don't
have a whole lot of trouble out here at the haunted barn when Russ is
around. |

attending school online. Her hobbies include riding
horses, dancing, playing drums, and drum line. Dani plays a number of roles including head photographer for our

plays in his spare time. Steve has been a HUGE help
building for the past three years. This year Steve has taken
over the Thanksgiving Terror Room --- You definitely don't want to meet up
with him and his "Little Buddy" in a dark hallway!!

photography. He is from Iowa Falls and is currently taking firefighting courses at Ellsworth
College. It's nice to know that Chris can scare
you to death .... then revive you all in the same night!!

He loves to hang out with his friends and loves to meet
new people. Terry really enjoys volunteering for things.
He's worked on a farm with his best friend, Cory Jackson, and he
loves anything that involves real work that makes him sweat.
He was involved in theatre all 4 years of high school and was
included in all their plays plus 1 college play.

whole haunt together as well as coming back and doing some acting.
He has found a perfect fit with Chimi Chonga. On
opening night --- his lair was the one that was getting the most screams.
I would really watch out when you get to the swamp ....... Chimi doesn't
like visitors.

the Jason room.

belting out witty comments freaking out the people walking through the barn
...... and sometimes she even freaks out the other monsters!! Tammy was mostly seen in the ticket office and as head "Koozie

He enjoys hanging out with friends and playing video games when he's
not scaring people. 2006 was Lucas' first year with us.
He is really good at finding dark corners and hidden windows to pop
up in! He does a 'boo-tiful' job!!

These little guys worked two years in the haunted barn and they are sure CREEPY!! Breanna likes it best in the evil clown room and scares her share of
adults. Brandon likes the Jason room the best.

| Shailey is from Ames and currently attends Meeker
Elementary School. She is a part of the
Safety Patrol in her school and at home she enjoys ice skating, and
drawing. Shailey was a monster in 2006 at the haunted
barn while her dad helped in the concession stand and on maintenance. It took her a little while
to get the courage to travel through the dungeon ...... but once she got
the hang of it, she turned into a real pro! This
little girl's middle name is 'spooky'!!

 Krystle is a graduate of NIACC college. Krystle enjoys riding
and showing horses and has accumulated many Championships for KnR
Arabians. She also enjoys music and playing the
organ and her saxophone. She was an All Stater in High
School and traveled to Europe her senior year as a representative of the
band from the USA. She also plays a pretty mean hand of
poker. Krystle was one of the evil minds behind all of the
horrific themes and sets in 2004 and 2005. |

is from Kensett and lives on an acreage there with her husband (Dan),
two dogs, two horses, and their cattle. She is
employed at Directions Research in Mason City as a Project Manager.
Erin enjoys showing her horses and has won many Championships in Des
Moines, Minneapolis, and Kansas City to name a few.
You will definitely see her at the Iowa State Fair riding her Arabian
gelding or her Morgan mare in the Society show. 2005 was Erin's first year as an actor in the haunted barn.

Tyke is a Junior at South Hamilton High School and is a
star on the school's track team. He's gone to State for
Cross Country since he was a freshman. Tyke
was all over the haunted barn in 2005. He's from
Jewell and goes to the South Hamilton High School.
You may have encountered him jumping out of the porta potties at you or
remember him chasing you outside in the line-up or in the field!!
He is seriously --- "The Boogie Man".

 Tim
is currently the Production Manager of Ball Plastics in Ames.
He lives in Ames with his wife and daughter and also has an older son
and daughter. Tim has lived all over the world and
hasn't been in the same place for over 3 years for the past 35 years.
You could say he has 'seen it all!' Some of
his hobbies include golf, old cars, fixing up older homes, collecting
junk and working in haunted barns! Tim
definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to scaring people.
Tim helped us out in 2005 in the Haunted Barn.
If you encountered him in the darkness you'd never forget him!!

Ben
is a Student at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, and is
majoring in Psychology to become a high school counselor. In his free
time he enjoys being with friends and playing his PS2. He
also enjoys getting together with a group of people to play poker --
mainly Hold 'Em and Omaha. Ben volunteers at the Nursing Home by
playing Bingo with the residents and is also very involved with his
church. You may see him performing in local plays and
Musicals. He uses his acting talent to make people
laugh and also likes scaring them at the same time!
Nichole is
from Hampton and besides scaring innocent people she enjoys dance, band,
and hanging out with friends. Nichole helped us in 2006 and 2007 inside
the haunted barn and she was great! She was a little timid at first but
now she's got the hang of scaring people!

Morgan is such a little trooper, she STILL showed up for opening night
and got made up as a creepy dead girl and sat in her wheelchair at the
entrance. This little girl really knows how to
scare people! Watch out for her!!
